We live in beautiful Northern Minnesota...a destination unto itself, but Tom and I love to travel, too!  We've made it a priority in our lives to discover new places and learn new things.

 

Why did we choose a Rick Steves tour?  It was almost on a whim, but not quite.  Relatives signed up for a 10-day trip to Italy, and that got us curious. We'd heard of Rick Steves, of course, but were not familiar with the number of tour offerings.  Wow!  What a list!  How could we choose?  

 

Italy was at the top of our wish list of places to visit, so I checked out those tours in particular. Tom had never been to Italy, but I'd been when I was in college.  The Best of Italy in 17 Days incorporated the big three cities (Venice, Florence, Rome), offered me some new places to discover (the Dolomites, the Cinque Terre, Siena), and threw some other treats in as well.  I read the traveler raves in reviews, and that was all we needed.  It sounded perfect.
