What a wonderful location for the beginning of our adventure.  Our hotel was located on the Piazza San Giorgio...and so was a church with a very large bell tower and bell.  The bell would ring every half hour and it was very loud.  We were all a little worried about that, but found that the nighttime hours were silent, much to our relief and sleeping requirements.
